My future contribution to the world

Hi there!

Today I´m going to talk about a little of me, about my contribution to the world with the carreer that I´m in, called "Forest Engineering" which I hope graduate in two years. My best definition of my carreer is: "The forest engineer is a person who manage the ecosystem for obtain goods and services and then provide to the people and society them. Actually, that definition should consider concepts like sustainable development, circular economy and other actions that the globalization brings. The global heating is the cause of creation of all concepts told before, because the world try find ways to cool down the temperature of our green house.

So, what is the role of forest engineer in that problem? Well, for some years now there has been talk that forests have been an important role in stopping the warming by consumption of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, therefore they are called "carbon sinks", also the forest is a bringer of services. And who have to regulate the forest for that important process is the forest engineer, finding ways to create basics services of nature for people but doing decreasing residuals and avoiding deforestation and allowing forestation and reforestaion. In this way, it can pssible maintain ecosystem services for longer and increase the area of forests for greater carbon sequestration for a better health of the world. Finally, I would consider a forest engineer as a doctor of forests, and along the same lines, of our biome.

Thanks for read! regards.

An empty street in Valdivia

Hello again!

This photo was taken by me on my mini-holidays in Valdivia, Chile in the last september in early spring in a cloudy day, and shows a long street that ends in the horizon, in the Miraflores neighborhood with old cars and low-rise houses with chimneys. In the sky, the sun appears large and bright because the clouds reflect much of the light.

The reasons I like this photography is becuse, first, I consider that is a simple photo but represent well he other part of the city far away of tourism. Second, all these nuans told before, make it seem Valdivia of look like a very old city, like the typical image of London of yesteryear full of fog, with smoke emanating from the chimneys. Also, because it brings back good memories of a very beautiful and welcoming city that I would like to visit again.

See you in  a new post, regards.
